Ras malai consists of yellow, cream or white colored flattened balls of chenna, soaked in malai or clotted cream flavored with cardamom. The balls are cooked in sugar syrup and milk with pistachios and saffron.
4. Gajar Ka Halwa
Gajar ka halwa or carrot halwa is carrot based sweet dessert which is quite famous in India. It is made by grated carrot, milk and sugar which cooked together in ghee. It is then garnished with ghee sauteed almonds, raisins and pistachios. Sometimes Khoya is also added to this dish to enhance its taste.
3. Gulab Jamun
Gulab Jamun is a khoya based sweet. Khoya is basically milk reduced to the consistency of a soft dough. Gulab Jamun is deep fried khoya balls which are then soaked in sugar syrup. It is mosly flavoured with rose water, saffron and cardamom. It is garnished with dry fruits.
