10. Rick Rude


Richard Erwin Rood better known as Rick Rude had one of the best body in pro wrestling during late 80’s and he portrayed himself as an arrogant womanizer. He was considered as the toughest man in the business known to knock down men with a single handed slap to the face. He died in the year 1999 at the age of 40 due to heart failure.

9. Mike Awesome


Michael Lee Alfanso was an American Professional Wrestler, well known for his appearance with ECW, WCW and WWF under the ring name Mike Awesome. He was found dead by a group of his friends, after he hanged himself in his home. He died in the year 2007 at the age of 42.

8. British Bulldog


Davey Boy Smith was a professional British professional wrestler, best known for his appearance with WWF under his ring name “The British Bulldog”. He died after suffering a heart attack, while he was on a holiday. He died in the year 2009 at the age of 39.

7. Mr. Perfect


Curtis Michael Hennig was an American professional wrestler who performed under his ring name Mr. Perfect. Hennig was found dead in a hotel room due to acute cocaine intoxication at the age of 44 in the year 2003.

6. Yokozuna


Yokozuma died from Pulmonary Edema (Fluid accumulation in the lungs) in his hotel room in Liverpool, England, while on independent wrestling tour. Though Yokozuna wrestled as a representative of Japan, in real life he was a Samoan American and a member of Anaoi Family. He died in the year 2000 at the age of 34.

5. Umaga


Next on our list of dead WWE Wrestlers is Edward Smith Fatu, best known under his ring name “Umaga”, was one of the members of Anoai wrestling family. He died after suffering from two heart attacks due to overdose of unprescribed medicine at the age of 34 in the year 2009.

4. Eddie Guerrero


Eddie was the most successful member of the Guerrero wrestling family. He is also considered as the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Guerrero was found unconscious in his hotel room by his nephew Chavo, who also attempted CPR. However, he was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived at the scene. He died in the year 2005 at the age of 38.

3. Chris Benoit


Over a period of three days, Benoit murdered his wife and son, and then hung himself with a weight machine. When researchers examined his brain, it was found that repeated concussion had caused significant damage and lead to dementia which can cause behavioral problems. He died in the year 2007 at the age of 40.

2. Owen Hart


Also known by his ring name “The Blue Blazer”, Owen Hart was the youngest of 12 children of WWE Hall of Famer Stu Hart. He had an accidental fall of 78 feet from arena, which is in Kansas City. He died in the year 1999 at the age of 34.

Andre was also famous for his drinking capacity, he once had 156 beers in one sitting. He died of heart failure in his sleep in the year 1993 at the age of 47.
